E' arrivato il nuovo macintosh Mini.
www.apple.com/macmini
Ma guardate qui:
www.apple.com/it/macmini
499 US$ = 499 Euro?????????
E poi perché in Germania e Spagna 489 euro?

Ok. Macmini arrives. But it is overpriced in Italy and France!!!
499 Euro!!! It is a theft.
A computer barely upgradadable sold at 119 euro more than US price.
With 1.31 US$ for each Euro US price 499 $ is about 380 Euro.
Considering taxes (VAT -20% in Italy-), transport (big quantities industrial transport price *2,5 euro each article*), publicity and launch, a honest price should be 466 Euro and be sold at at retail price of 469.
It could be raised MAX at 475 Euro in stores.
Italian price is 24 Euro more than an honest price, so it is in France.
German and Spanish prices are 10 Euro less than Italy and France, ONLY 489 Euro.
At least this seems more honest.
BUT again 14 Euro more than I expected.
Bah... I believed it could be more appetible.
No expanding characteristics with PCI cards,
No GigaEhternet,
No surround audio capabilities (only a single headphone-stereo output)
Graphic card with only 32 meg (max 64),
HDD 40 GB or 80 GB
(HD model of 80 is apart, on demand, spending more money)
Firewire 400 (No Firewire 800 like standard Macs)
Also it has *NOT* STANDARD ONBOARD Bluetooth and Apple Airport which could make the difference.
(You should purchase it apart, spending more money.)
Unfortunately a lot of people will be attracted by nothing more than a home computer because of the price (which will appears cheap to low-end users'eyes), the characteristics (which are poor in reality), the OS, and the name: APPLE.
Ciao,
Raffaele
