Hello all

I recently got hold of a peg2 g3 machine, stuffed with an ati radeon 9200se, 512mb ram, network adapter and a 500gb hd. There was no installation on it when I got it as the disk is brand new. I followed the instructions here and set it all up, but when I try to boot from harddrive now it stops at the boot logo.

I should also mention that the screen flickered with some rainbowy colours in Ambient (but not in the console before I booted from cd). But it did at least boot from CD. Does anyone have a clue what might be causing the issues? I would greatly appreciate any help.

in startup-sequence before iprefs and I bet it will help... boot from the CD and edit the file on the HD...

welcome to the club! Congrats on your new peg. Dont know about "rainbow colors" that sound unusual.. maybe try swapping gfx card.

Thanks for the help! That wait thing worked like a charm.

The rainbow colours are normal when there is no bootpic. Do not swap gfx cards just because of some blinking ascii chars.
