hi Im prob about to ask the dumbest question but, does the morphOS support x86 CPU Architecture and if not where I can aquired hardware to build a pc that does. Im trying to put morphOS on my old Pentium2 oh btw my vidcard is a pci can't remember the brand though.

MorpOS is a real operating system and only runs on real CPUs.

If you want to run an Amiga OS on x86 CPUs then you should try out AROS http://www.aros.org

If you want to use MorphOS then get a Pegasos / Open Desktop Workstation
from Genesi. http://www.genesi.lu
MorphOS does run great on them.

thanks for the help I haven't used anything related to the commodore in so long kinda to bad I forgot how to program on the old C64 and C128 sweet machines as far as classic's go to me a good classic never goes out of style and the still beating heart and OS of the amiga is deffinately proof to that....... thanks again though the help is appreciated..

It exist a version X86 of MorphOS.

I believe you did a mistake. Morphos only runs on Pegasos HD and not on X86.
As Biggun said, get a real and efficient device, PEGASOS ! :)

geez I just asked you don't need to go hadcore on me like I said at the start of the topic I haven't used anything past commodore in years as in like 10 years almost. All my knowledge goes towards some areas of Microcrap Windows and Linux other then that I explore other alternatives so that I may broaden my OS horizons and knowledge of.

MorphOS is for PowerPC only and runs on Pegasos as well as PowerUP-Amiga (Classic-Amiga with PowerPC accelerators).

If you want to try or use AmigaOS on your x86 Box the best way is WinUAE and AmigaSYS as preconfigured AmigaOS environment (needs a valid KickROM and Workbench ADFs).

MorphOS supports PowerPC only. In detail the following proccesors are supported :

AIM designs (manufacturer: Motorola (now Freescale)) 603e and 604e
IBM750,
Freescale 5200, 7400, 7447(A) and 7448

Not officially confirmed (but should work, too) is AMCC 405 and 440.

cool i'll deffinately look into getting an amiga pegasos2 kinda sounds like it would make a good server too, which I could really use cause I do alot of server stuff but i'll put that up there on the list with the new AMD system Im building.
