I bought a Pegasos 2 advised that I would be able to download a package called SuperBundle....... was I mislead?

Also, wasnt Linux Debian supposed to be supplied along with MorphOS for all Pegasos 2 boards?

Well thats strange. The Pegasos Homepage (www.pegasosppc.com) states that the download is unavailable and that I should try back in the future..... what a shock.

    But what about Linux?

For Linux on Pegasos check PPCZone. Superbundle should be available at your local dealer.

    Jasper,
We went out of our way to get a board especially for you.

You did not respond to our emails.

This doesn't mean no-one in Australia supports Pegasos or MorphOS.
It just means we don't hold a lot of stock as this is not a high turnover item.

I hope this clarifies the situation for you.

Say what?!?! Do you think I paid $200 in freight for the fun of it?!?!?

When I contacted you, via a link on a Pegasos site, you said you had no Peg 2 units in stock but should get some in the future....

....oh, okiez, I shall just wait until you are ready to import some shall I?

I did reply to your ONE, let me repeat, ONE email letting me know you could get one in the near future, but when I attemped to reply to your email telling you I had already ordered one from Vesalia I got a server error message returned...

I understand that Pegasos/MorphOs, AmigaOne and OS 4 are almost non-existant markets in Australia, but you almost give the impression I had some sort of choice where to buy it from....did I? You informed me you could provide a unit a full week after I got sick of waiting and bought one from Germany.

At NO time before this did I ask you to order a board "especially for me" (though I feel very special now), I emailed you that I was after one and asked if you had them in stock, you said no, but could get them sometime in the future, so I left it at that and bought one elsewhere.

    Just to clarify....

I bought my Pegasos 2 from Vesalia for...... the ability to have to send it overseas for any future warranty claims? Erm, no.

I bought my Pegasos 2 from Vesalia for...... the fun of ringing the Brisbane customs office 7 times in 3 days? Erm, no.

I bought my Pegasos 2 from Vesalia for...... the priviledge of paying $200 in freight and insurance? Erm, no.

I bought my Pegasos 2 from Vesalia because I COULD NOT BUY ONE IN AUSTRALIA - that is locally.

I hope this clarifies the situation for you.

I have had to deal with many server problems with my ISP, including bounced and possibly lost email. This almost wrecked one of my ebay transactions.

I sent out a lot of emails, they were lost. He sent out emails and got error messages back.

Its fortunate that the person I was doing business with was able to contact me in person by phone. :-)

So these unfortunate situations also happen to other people.

And I thought paying $80 for taxes on my peg1 was bad.. but $200 for shipping?! oh my!

    ahahhaha

There is a local retailer here in Japan. After reading this, I kindda fancy going there and check what do they actually have there :-P

BTW, I ordered my peg2 directly from pegasosppc.com coz the price was lots cheaper comparing other shops' prices. I also checked some retailer in Spain, but it seem they just wanted to get rid of the Peg1 they had in stock b4 selling Peg2 ... That was my impression, anyway.

About Linux, I had the same problem one year ago. Of course the package came with a letter telling that they would send Debian for me when it's released. But u see, I m using Debian ATM, I just downloaded it from the net ;-) Not much trouble.

About the superbundle, morphos update .... I don't know. It was quite confusing. I think I just registered the developers' forum. But actually, I couldn't get my MorphOS 1.4.2 yet. Am I still able to? Or after all this unpayments stuff, no update is available? I'm with 1.4.1 + Poseidon update. Is it a big difference?

    Talked too much. cu!

    P.S. I wanna go to OZ! ^^

    Hi Jasper,
We are pleased you managed to obtain a Pegasos,
we are also sorry that things conspired to require you to purchase overseas.
    Good luck for the future.
