The discussion has turned out a little better here than I expected. However, I will also ask here for everyone to cease from over-doing the bashing on either side of the current internal disagreement.

    Thanks.

Update? I wish I knew. The last I checked was far earlier in the day, and all I know for certain is that tokai still doesn't have a keyboard :-P

Sorry to be blunt, but what a load of crapola! If you want to run Linux you run one of the MORE OFTEN UPDATED X86 compiles on the MUCH CHEAPER X86 platform.

The ONLY reason a sane person would buy a Pegasos is to run the only thing that is not available on a MUCH CHEAPER and MORE READILY AVAILABLE platform, such as the X86 systems.

    This "only thing" is MorphOS....

I still feel that making these short, highly subjective and one-sided, undetailed and not backed up public statements is a bad way of doing negotiations. I fear it may be counter productive and work against them who does it.

(BTW, your post made me "accidently" click on your my.morphosi link ;-))

That's not necessarily the case. The competition is not with the x86, but within the PPC community where the Pegasos is a good choice. The MorphOS market is too small to sustain the MorphOS market. With Pegasos and MorphOS only, Genesi would soon go under. It is only because the non-eula Pegasos runs more than just MorphOS that Genesi is even still in business. :-)

I would like to use QNX and BeOS on Pegasos! These would also be great options. :-D
