Well the first day of Amiwest os over and though it was slow things dod seem to pick up later in the day. We had some great interest in the Pegasos and MorphOS from many Amiga only "Red" camp users. I think a lot of them didnt want to come over at first just because of what we were to them. Quite a few good one on one demos were done for several people. My main focus was to let them see it for what it was. To let them use it with no help ans let them discover just how Amiga-like it is. Most seems to be realy shocked after they were done using it. I had one guy come over and he was real against it. He said he heard how bad it was and slow. I told him just try and see. He left wanting to get a Pegasos and now thinks its better then the A1. We were lucky to have some software that also is available for the A1. Hollywood was a great example. Steve ran the same demo with it that the A1 Grasshopper LLC. was showing. Ours ran so much faster you could just see him looking over and getting so mad at us. It was the best part of my day for sure. Well thats all for now. I will have more photos and another update for you tomorrow.

Oh!! and Amiga Inc was sold off yet again. KMOS now owns all of it. So we will see if they can do any better.

Yeah, KMOS have owned the OS4 side for over a year now, it was just kept secret. They have interests in set-top box operating systems apparently (hmmm, sounds familiar), and Hyperion are still the people doing all the programming.

Glad to hear you had a good day :-)

ok, just read up on KMOS getting Amiga Inc (that'll teach me to read stuff properly!). With the other stuff announced it looks like the Peg/MOS could be seeing some serious competition!

But this has nothing to do with AmigaOS4.0 or the AmigaOne. Hollywood ist just emulated (68k-Version) on the AmigaOne. while it runs native under MOS. A native AOS4.0-version (which is allready announced) will be much faster, of course.

From what I was told the version they were selling and running was the native A1 version. We will be looking at the binary today to check for sure on that and report back.

This would be a big surprise. If there were allready an AOS4.0-version of "Hollywood", Andreas Falkenhahn (programmer/publisher) would have announced it. Check his website: http://www.airsoftsoftwair.de/, there is still no AOS4.0-Version. ATM yaou can compile native Code for AOS3.X, WOS and MOS with "Hollywood", so the Hollywood-Demo on the AOne must be 68k.

    > We will be looking at the binary today to check for sure on that and report >back.

    O.k., thanks.

That machine was taken off display today unfortunately.

See my post elsewhere..it *MUST* have been the 68k version being
emulated, since it was running at about A500/040 speed ;-)
