    Hey!

    Dave needs some help.

CodeWarrior is coming to the Pegasos on Linux, but it is not ready yet and we want to show it running at SNDF on Windows from Bochs on MorphOS or from QEMU on Linux. It does not have to be super zippy. It just has to run!

    Please help Dave!!!

    R&B :-)

I highly recommend using a QEMU CVS snapshot. The latest version runs win2k, and is about 20 times faster than Bochs. It has not been ported to MorphOS (yet) but runs perfectly in Linux.

    Some screenshots from the mailinglist:

I think Debian LinuxPPC running MOL with MacOS9 running RealPC with Windows98 will do the trick. :-)

I think it's the only way to have a 'relative' fast PC emulation solution, with internet and sound enabled.

I also configured MacOS to start RealPC when i click a .exe file from MacOS. It's much faster then Bochs on MOS.

I haven't checked QEMU, i have heard good things about it. Have to check it out sometime.

    Bye,
    Felix.

    Hi' BBRV

Remember to watch out for Metroworks, as the "leaked" WinNT & Win2k sources came from Metroworks :-o

But CodeWarrior sounds great for you :-)
About the emulators, have you thought about using the JIT emulation from QEMU together with WinE?
    Best regards,

Why not run Code Warrior on MacOS (X)? There is a MacOS native version. I remember when I tried to install an older version on my first PowerMac. It crashed the system by startup with the default installed SoftFPU, because the installer didn't find those of the PPC 603 :-)

AFAIK MOL CANT use PC Emulation due to Bi endian/little endian issues. Samuel R is looking into it atm..

Best thing imo is to do a PPD Deb linux compile??

What DrZarkov meant was that there has been a NATIVE version of CodeWarrior running on Macs for many years. No need to run any PC emulators on top of MacOS. I myself have worked with CodeWarrior on 68K Macs which still had monochrome monitors :-)

The problem with running CodeWarrior via MacOS on the Pegasos, is that it is illegal to run MacOS on anything but original Mac computers within the borders of the United States. So, Windows emulation is the only (legal) option in this case.
