MorphOS Demos

Hi everyone - I`m new on here, decided to register after following a thread from AW.net, where I noticed how welcoming everyone was to those of us from the "other side". What a pity all this effort in developing the OS`s and apps is duplicated, and the silly flame wars and all. Anyway, what I wanted to ask was if there are any Pegasos/MorphOS Demos going on (Britain in particular), like the AOS4.0 Demos that have been taking place around the world. I`ve got an A1 and am eagerly awaiting AOS4.0 but if I could afford to I`d buy a Pegasos too. MorphOS looks absolutely great on the screenshots I`ve seen and I`m sure I`m not the only A1 owner who`d love to actually see it working live. Wouldn`t it be great if this could all be a joint effort, or at least either OS to be able to run on either piece of hardware?

there's not much Morphos Tour for the simple reason that there
is not much news on morphos itself. Here in france there is
often partys when you can see Pegasos in action, but good old
    Amigas and AOne too.
The best chance you have is too find somebody who has a Pegasos
or maybe going to a "mixed" party.

And there is only another "side" for those who think there is a
    war ;-)

    @Old Amigan! Welcome :)

The vids from my site are Mpeg1 and are "only" MorphOS 1.3. Morphos 1.4.2 is much better! You will be amazed at how nice MorphOS and how "amiga-like" it is. I had an a4000T with PPC and when I got my Peg I sold the ppc and barely use the 4000T. Thats how much of a an Amiga replacement MOS/Peg is. Plus you can easily run LInux and other Os.

The best parties are called 'mixers' :-D

    Welcome OldAmigan.

A lot of us are old amigans too, and some are just plain old ;-) Anyway...

I keep losing the link, but there was a list of Pegasos owners open to visits/demos somewhere. You might get a kick out of that. Also, there are a bunch of screenshots here. It consists of a mix of user's grabs.

Also, there is at least one other dual owner here, and I'm betting the machines get along much better than some of their owners ;-) At least with envoy running, I bet they get along...

    Hi!
I'm still working on my peg-user-video-clip....
For bad luck the PeCe here at work with PinnacleEdition crashed....
Whole project is lost and I'll have to start with my
    last backup....
Additionally I soon leave this tv-station, and I
probably will finish it at home (on my peggie?)....
    Wanna have Motion Studio .....
    bye

We're using less smileys and animated gifs, but welcome nevertheless :-)

A considerable part of the community is made up from Amiga users (most of us still has our Amiga, there are many MorphOS projects which has a 68K version as well). There are all kind of Amiga users here - some joined MorphOS years or months before the OS4 project even started, some were AmigaONE/OS4 enthusiast, but made their way here in the long wait and found a home, and there are those who have both an AmigaONE and a Pegasos.

Hope you will feel like home. Althought, we don't have the name, but we all know what the MorphOS a/box is about. The first AmigaOS API compatible, fully native PPC operating system.

MorphOS is more than that, but it still embraces what was great in our beloved solution, and great and talented names are behind it. I didn't feel that I've switched platform, when I for the first time booted into MorphOS...
