Are you in the directory where the networking command is? If yes then try ./networking, if not use the full path.

    I'm in /etc/init.d/networking restart
When I do a ls, there's a lot of files including networking.
Is it possible to restart the network by another way?

    I saw this on a forum :

    to stop network

    > ifconfig eth0 down

    to start

    > ifconfig eth0 up

Does this the same thing like networking restart ?
