I don't know where you got the information from, but it is not correct.
Sure, we would benefit from NewOS being ported to PPC, but Haiku's
(that's our name nowadays
) presence on PPC is independent from
NewOS in the end.
I got a free Pegasos PPC board from Genesi to port Haiku to it, and
that's what will happen one day; parts of it are already working there.
NewOS itself is in the process of being ported to PPC, but I'm afraid
it's not further along as Haiku at this point.

I'm pretty sure that will happen, but the x86 version has precendence.
I'll work on PPC when I feel like it and have the time to do it, both
is not happening that often :)
Any help on that subject is welcome, though.
