I can say that I?d love a native x86 Morphos version. Cheap and available hardware assured. I love my Pegasos for the fact of being able to run Morphos (the best amiga style OS), not for the hardware itself.

What about an emulated Morphos under PearPC emulation? That would depend on performance for me.
I think it?s not bad news, sincerely.

The only thing I?m sure about it?s that there are not applications enough or users outside Amiga World willing to switch to Morphos.

It?s a great OS, no doubt. But "foreigners" would never appreciate it the same away as us, remember, all of us ex-amiga users.

We amigans, will always dream with our OSes being widespread, dreaming is good, it?s FREE. ;-D

All in all, I think Genesi works in the right direction
    trying to make Morphos profitable.

Hope MorphOS 1.5 will come out soon, and plenty of new good features, 1.4.2 system satisfies me enough, the only missing point is the lack of some applications wintel users can benefit of, not the OS itself.

We are no more than 3.000 users around the world, it?s hard to fight 1.000.000.000 wintel pirates out there, and try to convince them what they have to use daily.

    Cheers ;-D

It would be cool having some sort of 'morphotizing' package for AROS so that it would be allowed to run seamlessly x86 MorphOS compiled binaries. More user base, more freedom

Despite the legal BS it looks like the next for-sale release of OS4 is going to appear before MorphOS 2

And news out of Pianeta is that Classic OS4 will cost 79euro (or there abouts). If only my blood (or that of any common little potential user) was pure enough for one of the High Priests of MorphOS Development to lower himself to speak to...

So? This kinda isn't the same market, is it?

What I'm getting at is that these next product releases (leap of faith) are going to bring wider hardware support and, with that, new users who haven't previously had the opportunity.

jacadcaps, I disagree and Velcro_SP (unintentionally) highlights my thinking - OS4 and MorphOS both owe so much to the Classic Amiga. I'm sure there are at least a few that can see past the juvenile red-blue schism and will have both installed on their PPC enabled Classics.

Well... We released MorphOS for PowerUP a long time ago. It's also free and there were even several updates. What's the issue here?

My issue is that there's more happening with OS4 than there is with MOS.

Imagine two sprinters - one has a (legal) millstone around his neck and the second is unimpeded. Yet the first sprinter is not just keeping up with the second - he would seem to be getting ahead.

    > DCE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH BPLAN. BPLAN RENTS
    > THE FACILITY FOR PRODUCTION RUNS

I find it interesting that bplan did this in order to manufacture the Pegasos 1+2 and the Efika 5200B, considering what you just revealed the bplan guys had told you about DCE no later than 2004:

"[...] Thomas Dellert this is the ahole who owns "DCE" he is the guy really responsible for the whole Phase5 going under debacle. I know Thomas and Gerald of bplan personally [...] Whats really sad is even the bplan guys cant talk to Dellert. And they were partnered at one point, but apparently Dellert screwed them. (This is based on conversations I had with them when we with Motorola @ SNDF Dallas)"

No, I won't refrain from quoting public statements of yours. And to help you with your lack of knowledge regarding the meaning of the term "cross posting":

"Crossposting is the act of posting the same message to multiple forums, mailing lists, or newsgroups."
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crossposting

I didn't post this anywhere else.
