    Hello one and all!

I would like to know exactly what features on MZ you would like to see for future EFIKA expansion to the site? I'm sure the basics will be an article in "Quick Help," a Forum, and a news category. What else? What do you, as users, see as an important addition to the site to help YOU with MorphOS and EFIKA.

Indeed. That'll be a rather useful feature. Let's hope that the MOS-Team will consider implementing this functionality pretty soon now. 8-)

    Hi folks,

yes, the FEATURE of SHARING MorphOS to the EFIKA users would be very kind of all you core developers.

Since EFIKA (Linux) is a bit slow and sluggish - even on stripped down to the maxx linux environments like gentoo, etc. (ok fluxbox is nice but no trace to a real window manager, even xfce is a bit slow) - MorphOS is the ONLY System, the Efika is really made for.

MorphOS 1.5 would be the killer-OS for the EFIKA platform. And a very big selling argument, besides.

I was always a true "amiga addict" since the mid 80s.

I was buying the EFIKA last week without MorphOS being available for it. In the hope, that Genesi (with enough EFIKA customers) is in the position to donate (or even pay the bills) enough to MorphOS developers to publish MorphOS for the EFIKA.

Can't we as the EFIKA users participate in your efforts on MorphOS development?? -> just publish 1.5 BETA for EFIKA users, or even accept EFIKA registration.

The former amiga "community" is already split-up in so much parts, that i cannot count it anymore.

So why give away the LAST chance, lose even the last platform being left, putting the MorphOS to a real thing? ? ?

EFIKA will not be there forever. If EFIKA don't earn enough revenues for genesi, it'll be gone like its predecessors. And if EFIKA or a following product is gone off the market, we can run morphos on our fingerthumbs - remember that real functioning amiga hardware is very rare and expensive by now. - in some years the same will happen to pegasos, if you don't do anything for EFIKA.

EFIKA ist THE Platform (value for money) for MorphOS
MorphOS is THE OS for EFIKA

    FULLSTOP

The price (<200,- EUR here in Germany) is VERY attractive

A Pegasos II is around 570,- EUR without RAM. For this amount of money some would be silly to do a "hobbyists alternative os box" with - ok some like that, too. :-)

So my advice to you is:

Give MorphOS 1.5 to the community as soon as possible (and it is already possible) to help hardware vendors earn their money - so you will earn yours. Don't drop the chance of getting money for your hard work - even if it is in the future.

You could do it on a beta, non-support, unofficial or whatsoever - basis, but do it - finally, instead of sitting on it like a jealous hen.

You have us already down to our knees - -we would even PAY for non-final software.

I would love to go to a computer store of my choice and pay - let's say 100 - 120,- EUR for a final, boxed MorphOS 1.5 version. And I think, I'm not the only one.

So please make all our dreams come true - and don't let too much time go by - it will do no good.

So make yourselves a good contract with genesi - they also know that they sell EFIKA better with a truely great OS available for it - and:

    LET IT OUT

    grin

Your opinions about my thougts are VERY WELCOME

It's useless whining, since you have surely missed the announcement about the upcoming EFIKA support for the next version of MorphOS. It's not yet ready to be released to the end users, but it will come.
