MorpOS is a real operating system and only runs on real CPUs.

If you want to run an Amiga OS on x86 CPUs then you should try out AROS http://www.aros.org

If you want to use MorphOS then get a Pegasos / Open Desktop Workstation
    from Genesi. http://www.genesi.lu
MorphOS does run great on them.

I believe you did a mistake. Morphos only runs on Pegasos HD and not on X86.
As Biggun said, get a real and efficient device, PEGASOS ! :)

Yeah, and RC5 stat page is the proof for everything. MAYBE a kernel was compiled for x86, for a test, but i very much doubt that a fully featured MorphOS will run on x86 hardware, in near future (let's say in the next 10 years) if ever. It was discussed gadzillion times, why. You have to throw away backwards compatibility, because of endianness, and other reasons. So, forget this for once and for all, thank you.

Anything beyond this point is pure speculation, and only exists because the lack of real technical knowledge of x86, PPC, and MorphOS internals. Doesn't matter what do you think, it will not happen, because of a reason. Just live with this.

geez I just asked you don't need to go hadcore on me like I said at the start of the topic I haven't used anything past commodore in years as in like 10 years almost. All my knowledge goes towards some areas of Microcrap Windows and Linux other then that I explore other alternatives so that I may broaden my OS horizons and knowledge of.

MorphOS is for PowerPC only and runs on Pegasos as well as PowerUP-Amiga (Classic-Amiga with PowerPC accelerators).

If you want to try or use AmigaOS on your x86 Box the best way is WinUAE and AmigaSYS as preconfigured AmigaOS environment (needs a valid KickROM and Workbench ADFs).

Don't worry, FoxFire1, actually, that reply wasn't aimed at you. It's only that MorphOS for Intel (which doesn't exist, really) raised some hot discussions before.

Sorry, if i went a bit further than i should, but this is one of the areas (MOS on x86) which really was discussed a lot of times, still it appears again and again, so it's a bit boring at least. :)

MorphOS supports PowerPC only. In detail the following proccesors are supported :

AIM designs (manufacturer: Motorola (now Freescale)) 603e and 604e
    IBM750,
    Freescale 5200, 7400, 7447(A) and 7448

Not officially confirmed (but should work, too) is AMCC 405 and 440.

    Computerplatforms supporting MorphOS are:

    - Genesi Pegasos 1 and Pegasos II
    - Commodore/Escom Amiga with Phase 5 ppc accelerator board.
    - Freescale mobileGT (not public)
    - Genesi Efika 5k2 (not public)
    - AMCC 405 evaluation boards flashed with smart firmware (not public and not confirmed)

In short: currently the Pegasos is more or less the only device for MorphOS, you may have alook at ebay, the Pegasos1 is quite cheap but picky on ram (overall performance is a bit less than the PegasosII).
