I'm sure can't be a great software, because it's written in Pascal, which is a language for beginners. :-D

Wow! I would say we have to thank the author of the free pascal port on MorphOS for this! Its a great application and is more then welcomed to MorphOS! I will be ordering myself when its available. I dont like the idea of pre-ordering any more.

    From http://pixel32.box.sk:

"Pixel32 registration fee is $32 now, and from final release it should be purchased for $75-$100. If you register now all updates until next major release (v2.0) will be free for you. Also note that registration is platform independent and you can use your license also with upcoming ports to other operating systems."

Since I use several systems on a regular basis, including Windows, I find these license terms quite favourable! :-) From my own perspective, I do not consider this as a pre-order at all, but as a single "general" order for all the systems I got (where the program already runs on the majority of them).

    Also:

    "December 23rd, 2004
Get Pixel32 as a Christmas gift! It can be purchased for $20 until end of the year (<- Click!). Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2005.
Update: Pixel32 now compiles on PowerPC platform. In few weeks I will present version for MorphOS and later versions for Linux/PPC and Mac OS X."

    :-o :-o :-D

    What does the press say?

"November 2004 - Image editors comparison in czech Computer magazine (21/2004). Pixel32 got 8/10 points and was better than GIMP and PhotoImpact. In some test categories even better than Paint Shop Pro and PhotoPaint".

What's the story with the GUI?

I assume you mean the "Windows" looks of the GUI? AFAIK there is no
"story" really. Pixel32 aims to be very easy to port. It uses an
internal GUI engine of its own. That is what affecting the looks, and
it should also be a big contribution to why the program is this
portable. The other aspects of the GUI is that it looks a lot like
Photoshop (the program it aims to mimic/replace), with the same
    gadgets, menus, etc.

IMHO this could be the best thing that has happened to the MorphOS
community since the release of the Pegasos2 (and the MorphOS "1.4.2"
patches for it). You may think I am exaggerating, but that is how much
    I appreciates this effort! :-)

Nice, great, cool, excellent, super, delicious, ... !!! Beautiful present also for MorphOS 1.5!

In the Computer magazine was also told, that this stuff can be in the final version better than Photoshop at all (8/10 - because it has some small bugs, and it is a beta version)

I use this demo-version on the PC, I am very satisfied with it (Photoshop users can welcome the similar control).

Finaly we can have the best program of all made for MOS :o)

Well..I finally broke down and bought it. I forgot to comment that I was buying it for the MOS version though (just so the author could get feedback on where the sale was coming from!)

I bought it too. But author with no doubt knows that for me the only important version is the Morphos one. :)

    Now I must wait...
