I don't know where you got the information from, but it is not correct.
Sure, we would benefit from NewOS being ported to PPC, but Haiku's
(that's our name nowadays ;-)) presence on PPC is independent from
    NewOS in the end.
I got a free Pegasos PPC board from Genesi to port Haiku to it, and
that's what will happen one day; parts of it are already working there.
NewOS itself is in the process of being ported to PPC, but I'm afraid
it's not further along as Haiku at this point.

I'm pretty sure that will happen, but the x86 version has precendence.
I'll work on PPC when I feel like it and have the time to do it, both
is not happening that often :)
Any help on that subject is welcome, though.

    Bye,
    Axel.

Elektro take it easy mate. Of course some things seem to go wrong,
well many seem so only, some go wrong. But hey, that's life! not
    everything works like one likes.
Others stated it already: MOS is not dead, it's not even slowed down.
Sure, there is a lot of time passed since the last major update (yes
over a year) but the coming release will have major changes.
Sometimes it's a bit frustrating to wait and wait but if you feel
frustrated my suggestion is you go down the beach from Imperia city
center towards west direction. Somewhere there is a cheap Pizzaria on
the left downstairs, the food quality is somehow not overwhelming and
they have a even worse Karaoke show. Okay, maybe they stoped now due
to end of season, but I've enjoyed some pasta there around a month ago
and feld good while staying in Imperia. Just enjoy!

Hi Michelle, could you please point me to those reasons you mention? I'm also worried, and perhaps I've missed something important this weekend. I just wan to know.

By the way, about "Genesi's attitude", I honestly think that some people here should apply that to themselves before complaining, demanding others to shut up because they don't know, etc. In the longer run, make yourselves this question: "What's that useful for?"

    See ya!

I've been informed about those "reasons" privately, for which I thank the informer very much. It's a pity, the reason itself, and the fact that it's considered reserved.

Is this still going on? I would think that the announcement of the new site and mailing list would at least tell you they still are working on MOS.
