Hmm, read the MOS-team statement in the news. I am very sceptic about BBRVs "annoncement".

There *is* a big company agreeing to resell MorphOS.

Didn't you want to have some OEM Pegasos customer to drive numbers up and lower the hw price before SNDF?

Interesting announcement (MOS-team) in the news... There are NO thaughts about MOS on PearPC and there is NO hint, that MOS will be resold by a major company. So what the hell is BBRV and Neko talking about all the time? Why discuss things, which are not supported from the MOS-team?

Neko, just help us non english native speakers. Does that sentence mean that there is some big company which is in the process of agreeing right now? They havn't agreed yet, but are agrreing now (you know, sometimes continous forms are diffucult to understand for non English persons)? Or does the continous form mean they have agreed and still keep their agreement?

If the company had agreed already you better said:
"A big company agreed to resell MorphOS." Or do I mix up some English language details here?

To put the question in in a better form: Have they signed a contract to resell MOS already? (well, don't tell they are signing, signing takes not long, thus you have signed or you have not, but signing itself is just a matter of seconds)

    Zylesea,

Opportunities are big but everything takes time. Contracts, dev plan, agreement have to be done before annoucing more information. I believe BBRV told us about it to calm down the community being worry about the future of morphOS.
I'm sure much more information will come when all the deal is set up ;)

This kind of deal can change a lot of things for MorphOS ( meaning more ressources, more customer ...)
    Let's be patient ;-)

Tapero, my post was just about the fact whehter that contract is signed already or not. If it is not signed already, that said company may be highly interested (and believe me I know that MOS is highly interesting for some companies), but there still is the risk that they will not sign the contract... (and if they finally fail to contract, ppl will start whining again and shouting BBRV being a liar 'cause it was said there was an agreement etc. pp.)
If they signed a contract about reselling MOS already that's fine then (in fact this is more than fine, I gave my congrats already), but then it could stated clearly and not hidden in a phrase that some company "is agreeing".
I am just against ambiguous speech but to speak out facts clearly.

I don't think BBRV will take the risk to announce something that's not accurate. It is not question about ambiguous speech is about saying as much as they can based on the procees of the deal. It is very hard in the computer world to change mind of people. "god windows" with lots of marketing, money took control of the IT world. Today companies understand there are alternative. Linux is one of them, MorphOS can also be one if implemented correctly for specific need. As I said before, I believe the announcment was odne to calm down worry people.
Now let's hope I'm right and wait for the next step. I have no doubt in the fact that as soon as everything is signed and first order are on their way, genesi will announced it with much more information :)
