I havent been on the p2p scene with Mos for a while. (since mldonkey first came out) I'd like to start a discussion of what is the best p2p client for:

    1. The fastes downloads/connecting

    2. a GUI

    3. easy to work with

Don't you know Bourriquet (Clone of Emule(PC))???
My version is 0.2.7 and you can find it on www.bourriquet-project.org/fr/downloads.html

This version is ok for connection, research, downloads and uploads, preferences too...

    I already did 30 downloads with ... (downloads > 60mo)

I've been using AmiGift for quite awhile,
it is working quite well. I am able
to connect to Fasttrack (Kazaa) and have
been able to download without waiting forever.
I am using a Peg 1 though. Amigift has a nice
GUI and feels solid. It can play back songs
if setup in the prefs, i use songplayer.
I also use MLDonkey on IBrowse, basic, but
does fast search and slow to get anything
unless alot of people are sharing.
I am still working on Bourriquet, trying
to get some active servers. I tried a server.met
file but it seems like I'm missing something??

Bourriquet seems to be unable to read the server.met and to store the servers, try Razorback2 IP:195.245.244.243 Port: 4661

I took the one from my eMule on PC, something wrong with it? And why is Bourriquet so slow when downloading?

    Hi all,

I use ctorrent, as it requires almost no arguments, no GUI is required. It works pretty well, but it crashes with some torrent files... Else it's quite good piece of SW... hope, there will be some update soon...

    Bye, MarK.

Talking about Amigift, there's an interesting thread on www.amiga.org. A new version of amigift is almost ready, but the programmer lacks motivation to finish it. Feedback might encourage him to go on with it. See here:
