I think it supports hardware decoding on selected graphics cards/drivers on OS4, which makes it better in some setups in that regard. But generally in other situations MPlayer on MorphOS is probably better because AFAIK overlay is better supported on MorphOS. But I don't have better knowledge and experience on OS4 side, so I might be wrong too :)
