Old Amiga PPC demos on MorphOS

    Hello,

Since Amiga with PPC boards are pretty much dead, I would like to know if there's any way to patch or fix some old PPC demos, especially Planet Potion and Cruel Karma Forms, to run on MorphOS 2.4?

Very good idea! Running this on MorphOS would be nice.
Theses demos are really great and it is hardly impossible to see them again (not even in video format).

    Huh?

Clicking on 'video' or 'youtube' should be easy.

The quality of the videos available is pretty bad, especially for Cruel Karma Forms (which is also missing the end part). That's why I would like to run these demos again on a modern Amiga (and enventually do better video recordings of these gems with screen recorder or whatever).

Im interested in amiga ppc demos running on morphos but maybe some old amiga rtg and ahi demos can run on morphos too.

PS: Youtube for demos is a bit crap sorry.

There were numerous attempts to get Planet Potion to run on MorphOS, all of them failed. We even got in touch with the original authors, but the sources claimed lost in a HDD crash, long ago... As far as the investigation went, the released binary tries to poke/peek into the Z buffer, and do other kinds of tricky things only possible on a Permedia, and cannot be (with 100% compatibility) emulated on a Radeon (and probably not other cards too).

So there's little chance, Planet Potion will ever run on (non-PowerUP) MorphOS. Same applies for Future Visions by Potion, of course.

That's it! Real demos can't be taken out of the computer they were born in.
