    Thank you.

Um... No, still almost 300 to go. Unfortunately it will happen anyway and I'll have to do a huge rework to the graph then. Sigh...

I meant that now the curve will start going down. Maybe. This might just be a slump.

I think, the ISA change (when it happens finally and to PC) will ease to try MorphOS for people, who never did it before, and maybe will increase a bit the users count.

It all depends. I wonder, for instance, if our registration keys will still remain valid for MorphOS 4.0 and above. If not - the graph will start all over again, with all the "dead" and multiplied keys null and void. Moreover, I doubt if anyone outside our tiny userbase would happily pay 100€ to register MorphOS. The price would have to be cut in a way Hyperion did with OS4 FE to appeal to someone.

Not necessarily, it all depends on what hardware will be chosen. If something quite popular then there is a chance. I think choosing "right" hardware will be much harder than switching architecture ;)

Personally I think the run would start, if there would be complete systems, including MorphOS, to buy for lets say 300-400€. Second I don't think that this hardware necessarily would have to be "highend" machines, as the OS is lean and quick enough for medium hardware too. In that case we would have, once more, a standardized hardware on which software developers could rely on and which would maybe attract developers on the other hand.

Most likely not as there is no way for the MorphOS team to clearly identify the current legit license owners. Imagine person A sells his PPC Mac including MorphOS keyfile to person B but doesn't delete all instances of the keyfile after the sale. If the old keyfile remains valid for new MorphOS/x64, person A will be able to register an x64 board for that (if he does so before person B does) although he is not the legit license owner, especially if person B did not ask the MorphOS team to change the keyfile owner's name.

That's Andreas we all know and love. Four point 1, OK?

And what if (hypothetical) MorphOS 4.0 runs both on PPC64 and AMD64? I know, not likely to happen, but...

Problem remains the same: person A will be able to register an x64 or PPC64 board for the keyfile (if he does so before person B does) although he is not the legit license owner.

The thread went silent. No new reg numbers, people? C'mon, share them with us. It would be especially interesting if there's a visible bump after official price drop.

You think so because of added X5000 support? ;-)
