More users on the platform, the merrier...

But perhaps is the moment to create a complete video guide on youtube explaining how it works, installing dual boot system, finding software on internet, etc.

A "MorphOS for dummies" video is the first step to create a strong feel with new users and mainly for those who are unaware of how it works an Amiga-like system.

MorphOS needs a proper documentation! Thats probably the biggest issue for beginners. They just don't know how to use the system in full range. MorphOS has a lot of hidden feature which dont seem obvious for the unexperienced user. A few HowTos dont help much.

I agree, but hey Houston, we have a problem...

Proper documentation may require months if not years in absence of a strong firm backing up the back, like Commodore did in the past.

(and Commodore is a typical example of a firm granting very poor documentation to users)

Let's start with simple howtos on youtube that could be made in a few days or weeks, and immediately cover the beginners'bare necessities.

    Let's start walk, then run.

I was honestly already thinking about making a full scale MorphOS User Manual. But with my studying that seems impossible. At first i would invest some time in gathering all the information from users and devs about the hidden features and functionality they have found and used in Ambient/MUI/MorphOS. I think this could be a promising project.

But where? I never created a bounty. If someone could teach me, he is welcome.

Regarding the topic of documentation - please do not forget about the Morphzone <Library> section. I remember when this initiative started up, again, a few years ago. There are some great articles written. It certainly could be picked up again and added to. :)

Glad to be back after a loooong absence and to see that Morphos is even better than ever.

    Now... back on topic.

Well not to derail the topic I will say that it is amazing just how cheap the g4 ibooks have gotten in the states - mine was sub 50 USD. The ibook is a heavy beast compared to what I am more recently accustomed to however.

Performance-wise my A1133 12" 1.33Mhz ibook with 1GB RAM is no slouch and I am very pleased so far but I really have not cracked the seal much on it yet as I was limited with the 30min. First impressions are great though - well done MorphOS team :)

It's now December 5, 2014 in the Philippines (my location) and I am now at Day #5 with MorphOS 3.7. Of all the MorphOS licenses being issued, I wonder is the MorphOS team knows which ones are active and which ones are dormant, something like an unnamed corporation does.

    I don't think they do.

I don't think so either. The only way to know for sure is to see which MorphOS users are active at forums. But that will only get you that far.

And even that isn't necessarily indicative of the licenses as users may sell/buy their machines including license to/from other users as they like.

Of course not. But it's the closest we can get regarding "active users". Active users hang around these kind of forum frequently. Even if it's not every day.
