MorphOS 1.5 was shown at Amiga Meeting 2004,
but there is no reports about it ! :-(

I dont understand. Is it not very diferent compared to MOS 1.4 ? :-?

Radeon 3D drivers seems to be the only new interesting thing!

The biggest changes are probably in parts of code that users can't see. What did you expect from 1.5? It's not that big a version bump, and we already know the biggest user-level changes are the TCP/IP stack and Radeon 3D driver.

Well I'm expecting boosted performance and flexibility in Ambient.

    That sounds rather "marketingish". :-)

Anyway, Radeon3D and tinygl will have the greatest impact IMO, all else is just the topping on the cake.

What's the deal about mime settings in Amibent's settings? I wonder if this will be the foundation for a def icon system. If so there is a happy thumbs up for it!

An English report about the show would be appreciated, my polish is more than poor (yes I have a book to learn Polish in my shelf, but I just looked to the very first lessons - actually I am too lazy (as with so many other things also)).

/me waiting for a detailed report of the show and especial MOS 1.5

Also look closely at one of the screengrabs - there's a whole new Ambient prefs tab based on mouse input.

Well, actually there seems to be much new stuff in MOS 1.5, you just have to look carefully at those pics and read perhaps other reports, like those from Hamburg a few months ago.

So here is my collection of news in 1.5 (Please don`t take it totaly serious, I have absolutley no idea whether this is correct or not, it is just based upon the show pictures and some rumours.)

    Tiny GL
Radeon 3D Support (unfortunatelly only for 7xxx Cards?)
View by text etc is back
    Sorting function is new.
New AHI Driver (Sound Distortion on Peg 1 Boards should be gone)
    Def Icons
    TCP Stack
    Mui Requesters
More Gradient Features ? (Not sure about that, alas there where some really cool looking pictures with another canvas, not sure whether this was MOS or another Prog)
New HD Tool Box, finally Mui Based
Enhanced Ambient Panel (Not sure about that, but i hope so.. Ok maybe to bad for Tokai, as he will then and as CISC, in Ralphs Chamber, and he won`t get out until he has coded all my requestest panel plugins :D )
    Blanker
Better Moussupport? (Hopefully there is also some enhancment for other input devices, like joypads, MM Keyboards etc.)
and sure many othe things i have overlooked, or just forgotten. And no doubt, that there will be bugfixes and stability improvment as well.
So actually there seems to be many many new things in 1.5. if you have a closer look to the in Lodz shown prefs panel, you will also see, that there are many new tabs here, but i can`t read them properly, so no idea what they where about.

BTW, if you find some more news, which i didn`t list here, feel free to add some of them :-)

PS. I did some work on the prefs windowscreenshot (made it bigger and blured a bit to try to read everything) and it seems, as beta status is finally over! at least there where no debug options? there are several new features, for example what should happen if you double click on Window Border.

    edit:
enhanced Taskmanager is also there, as well as Open URL Prefs and new Pointer Prefs.

I'm just guessing, but I would be VERY surprised, if the newest Poseidon wasn't integrated...

I hope that MorphOS 1.5 has better handling of badly written programs
like Voyager, because I hate Voyager for freezing my system so often
    and so reproducable.

As a matter of fact, on some sites (mostly with excessive popups) Voyager is more stable than IBrowse. So it usually requires some experience which browser to use under different circumstances.

Buy IBrowse, runs like a charm, and has much better JavaScript Support!

Well it's not only Voyager, there are a lot of other programs which
freeze MorphOS under certain circumstanced and I don't think that it
should be up to the user trying to avoid all those buggy situations.
MorphOS should be improved in that area as much as possible.

I like Voyager, but you can forget the Flash support... most games and
even a lot of normal animations don't work or only work partial!

3D and all that is nice, but how about video-out?
I want to hook it up to a tv like a real Amiga.
I mean playing dvds, viewing pictures, control musicplayers, running emulators...
