Actually, it's '8-D' that is interpreted as smiley with "Enable Smileys" ticked and thus gets replaced.

I just intended to correct you on the character(s) that get replaced. If it really was "-", it would be two independent bugs at work.

No, the claim was my potential reply being refuted by "the preview [being] correct when you do so. The post however is not.", which is nothing my actual reply was about. I may not have addressed the bug, but clarifying that there's no second bug at work (which would have been the case with "-" getting replaced) may be considered of value.

The text is dificult to read then what is the original text (quote), what is the new one. And then the grey bottom line is cut off, has a black dot and the comment nombers are half on the side of the box. Can someone fix the layout?

If the forum software cannot handle these errors then it would be needed to handle them better. In other forums that I remember a "wrong" quoting does not break the layout.
