    Hello,

i think to do a new tool to do following things for example via buttons:

    - Active/deactive NTP Clock
    - Reset all MorphOS prefs by default (Fonts, Ambient, MUI, etc.) with the save of old prefs (restore feature too)
    - Init network stack with "touch ENV:sys:interface.prefs"
    - Launch Shell

Question to the MorphOS Team: It will be possible to use default prefs files from MorphOS ISO for the second feature please?

@all: If you have others ideas of interesting features for the user, don't hesitate :-)

At least for Ambient "reset to default" should be the same as "delete prefs file" as the default values are in the source as fallback codes.

You say if i delete all this files:

    sys:prefs/Ambient/Advanced.conf
    sys:prefs/Ambient/Ambient.prefs
    sys:prefs/Env-Archive/MUI/Global.pref
    sys:prefs/Env-Archive/sys/font.conf
    sys:prefs/Env-Archive/MUI/AMBIENT.prefs

The default prefs file will appears after a reset?

Is there others prefs files for MorphOS/Ambient/MUI/etc. please?

Well you gotta try to find out.

All I know from working with the sources is that at least some of the defaults are hard coded into it.

    @Kronos:

if i delete Ambient prefs files and reboot, new defaut prefs files are present but i lost Ambient default lister with buttons and path unfortunally...

if i delete sys:prefs/Env-Archive/sys/font.conf and reboot, no new default file appears, i must copy original from MorphOS.iso

if i delete sys:prefs/Env-Archive/MUI/Global.pref and reboot, no new default file appears, if i launch MUI Prefs and click save i obtain a Global.prefs file of 74 octets only, so i must copy the original prefs file from MorphOS.iso
