    Hi Papiosaur

I'm still using Pagestream, but this is very promising...
Perhaps I will step over to Stylos sometime.

    regards, Tom

Thanks Tom for your feedback :-)

Personally I don't see Stylos as a competitor to PageStream, the latter is a very complete desktop publishing software and Stylos is a simple word processor.

I don't know if it's possible; it would require two programmers to collaborate, but what would you say to a duo like this: I embed an Excel table in Stylos. I click on the table, and CellBasics opens. I edit the table in CellBasics and close it, and the changes appear in Stylos.

Oh, that's a big deal. It would be worth many coffees ;-)

Does Stylos also include a spell checker and grammar checker?

Why don't just edit the table directly in Stylos? :-)

Of course, i'm not closed to do a collaboration with jaca to do a communication system between Stylos and Cellbasics for new features like mail merge and add possibility to import a table from Cellbasics to Stylos for example but it will be after Stylos 1.0 and if jaca is ok.

It will be a good alternative to Microsoft Office and LibreOffice.

This idea is, of course, a proposed development direction, not a current feature. I've had the pleasure of exploring both programs and see great potential in them for restoring the system, which draws on its Amiga heritage, and, combined with the upcoming new hardware, for restoring the computer's role as a home computer, not just a gaming machine. Exactly as you say, the CellBasic/Stylos duo would be a real alternative to Office suites in a version suitable for home needs. More is not needed. Historically, the Amiga was never an office computer, but its successor should support modern standards for a computer worthy of the name "home computer". Thanks to your work and Jacek's, we're very close to that goal. It would be great if MorphOS users noticed and appreciated this, but knowing your approach, it will happen regardless. Howgh! ;-)

That would be great, but I guess papiosaur didn't see your question ;-)
Maybe it would be possible to integrate Stylos with some ready-made open-source dictionaries?

MorphOS comes with a spellchecking library and dictionaries. They are already used by multiple applications.

@Thorsten @Tomasz : Yes, like Geit said, i will use the spellchecker.library support integrated in MorphOS but after version 1.0. At the moment I must fix many small problems inherent in a basic word processor. Others features will be added after like the spell checker and grammar checker.

@DanicaTalos: Thanks, i hope it will be better :-)

Thanks to registered users and sponsors for their support and for their feedback to help me fix bugs.

Stylos 0.93 arrives soon with many fixes.
