Hi All,

there is a bug in MorphOS 2.4 that the 64 MB video card of the mini is not recognized by default at boottime. Only if you press the ALT button and choose MorphOS from the graphical boot menu.

Does anyone know when will it be resolved?

no, I haven't forgotten. To reformulate my question: do we know when a new MorphOS will be released and/or: is it not usual that a known bug is cured with a patch inbetween releases?

It is just unconvenient to start a computer and pressing ALT, all the time. :)

it's a minor bug so you can wait few time, no ?
And the patch exists : "press Alt".
You have to start your computer 100x / day ?

I didn't know about that problem, I have to use alt, due to dual boot anyway.
Was going to have a look at the guide with a view to making Morphos the default boot partition but looks like there is no rush to do that now.

Bit of a minor pain as for someone reason, the Mac firmware makes you wait for a short while before you can pick which system to boot.

Try to disable netboot in OF. It is described in the latest MorphOS review article by jPV.

Inserted a wait or two, copied the original back from the CD afterwards.

could you please describe what you have changed in the startup-sequence? You inserted a wait for 1-2 secs?

hmm, I have added a "Wait 2" as the first command in the startup-sequence, because else my ext. HD (iomega 500GB mac mini style;), let MorphOS frozen on the boot screen...
but here it doesn't cured the 64vram problem

My changes aren't important, after copying back the original from the CD, 64MB vram is still detected.

Is your monitor connected via VGA or DVI? For VGA it may be just monotor adjusts display to the signal. When monitor adjusts PLL clock recovery circuit, visual effect looks like vertical vaves of blurrines moving horizontally. This phenomenon does not happen with DVI connection.
