I bought PCI USB2.0 Card (Vivanco NEC) to my Pegasos, but when I install it to my computer it caused operating system is not booting... I see only a black screan.

Could I do something to use this card?

well, yes, swap this card for another one... i had the same problem with nec card... i swapped it for another (cheaper) via card, and it works well.

btw, you mean black screen, when turning your peg on, not the morphos boot logo screen?

then swap it, the firmware doesn't work with it. same with my old card. You can also try the usb-enable? (or similar) option in firmware, i didn't know this option... so if it's there enabled, try to disable it, and install the card again...

i had the same issue
got it solved by plugging it to another PCI slot.
try another slot before swapping the card for another.

Plugging this card to others PCI ports not helped in my case...

Maybe somobody knows this firmware options that MarK said obout it? (How to enable or disable USB?)

It's OF variable called usb-enable? (incl. question-mark, values: true or false).

But older Pegasos firmware (as mine version 1.2) doesn't have this variable...
