I connected a NEC DVDrom drive to get it going on my pegasos.
But nothing not with makecd or fryingpan.
So I'll have to see for an other one.
Can you guys recommend me a brand and type which is compatible with Fpan?
Maybe I better go for a DVD ram drive now while I am at it.

I use the NEC ND3500 DVD-Writer with FryingPan and it works great, and don't forget that the FP demo can't burn a DVD!
And wich Nec DVD-Burner are you using?

I use a Pioneer DVR-109, and it works fine with FryingPan (and with MakeCD, too).

    DVDRW:
Samsung SH-S182MSB02 - works fine with fp.
LG GSA-H22N1 - works fine with FP, but doesn't work quite good with morphos. (Morphos can't see any data on DVD)

    Hi ;)

I have tested Lite On and Nec DVD writers with Fryng Pan and it works great with Frying Pan.

Pioneer I have tested has not done such as good results as Lite On or Nec.

    Bye ;)

Well, he did say dvd-rom, and failed to specify what he expected makecd and fryingpan to do with the drive :-)

Here my Philips DVDR1628P1 reader/writer works fine with MakeCD. I hope to get as soon a registered version of FryingPan so can use in the future for DVD wirting. Actually I regularly use it for dvd-writing using k3b under debian.

    Hi all ;)

Effectively, Frying Pan is able to manage Double Layer DVD !

I have tested 2 DL DVD from Verbatim, and Frying Pan was able to burn 7,95GB of data on it, very slowly, but it worked.

The DL DVD was totally readable on morphos !

Very good job for this Software ;)

Don't hesitate to contact me for registration's request.

    See you later ;)
