I bought amiga 1200 ppc/bvision for using morphos. but i can't boot morphos. i need to help.

firstly my configuration is;
Amiga 1200 1d4 board
40.68 kickstart rom (3.1)
160 mhz ppc, 25 mhz 040, 64 mb ram
bvision graphic card

i did this things;
i formatted a partition in os3.9
i copied all files in cd
i edited startup file
(set bootdevice "bootdevice=DH0" (this is my boot device :)
i use this command: set kickstart "nokickstart"

but there is no booting only dos screen is coming!

begin the questions;

firstly which kind of file system i must use for morphos?

secondly; have i need to (set kickstart "kickstart=Devs:ROM3.1")

thirdly; which reset level must i use?

How much did you pay for the A1200 with PPC?

i bought it from turkey and i am turk :) . it is 500 YTL it is near to 250 Euro. it is amiga board+160 mhz ppc+bvision+64mb ram. it doesn't contains 3.1 roms, i bouth roms from another people.

I believe the problem might be that the OS3.9 filesystem is not the same as the one in MorphOS. MOS is generally compatible with OS3.1.

So FFS from OS3.1 or some SFS.. but I suspect there is some incompatible version of SFS, too.

Most people here don't have Amiga systems with MOS on, but I'm sure sooner or later someone will come along and help you. :)

as far, as I know, you have to format the MorphOS partition using SFS to install MorphOS on a classic Amiga.
I have an A3000T with CSPPC 200MHz and CVPPC and MorphOS works like a charm.

problem was not solved. it doesn't work :( . can somebody tell me what can i do start to and.

for amiga; i have WB 3.0 disks, empty hard drive, os3.9 full hard drive, pc (winuane), cdrom and i want to install morphos on empty hard drive

I had s similar problem when i tried to get morphos to boot on my A4000 with CSPPC.

The resetlevel for Blizzard is 1. And I copied my kickstart to devs.

After some messing around I got it to work.

i installed morphos over the WB3.1 . but startup gave the fail code. is the problem's couse of WB3.1???

which is the startup error ?
I think you didn't well copied all the files cleanly, nor you won't have these problem. MOSPuP is fully functionnal directly from the CD.
Which filesystem did you use ?

i used OS3.1's ffs.

and how can i change this file system???
