Wait, MorphOS runs on Efika? All I remember is Ralph Schmidt had worked on it some and there was a screenshot, but the screenshot didn't appear to show a properly working Ambient desktop.

How well does it work now, what programs ran?

It is cool that it is fast. That is so important to have a responsive and fast OS.

Nice video (for being 3gp)! :-)

But is this is this MorphOS 1.5, or 1.4.x?

    The video is really nice!

(Even if I can't understand it... and I would have loved to have seen more (ibrowse at the end!))

I just hope this is true... and that I can buy Efika bundled with morphos!

And about 1.5... I thought morphos development was halted indefinitely?

    Someone please explain... :-)

Oh and if we are very very very lucky we will see MOS 1.5 under the X-Mas tree, and MAYBE you got to pay for it.
But this are all rumors and don't blame me if it doesn't happen.

Brilliant news! Please make that video and show the world that MOS 1.5 really exists!

Its good too because there aren't many morphos videos about to show off what an excellent OS it is...

I have no problems to pay in order to get a new full release of MOS.

The product and it support have been great until now, even it has benn totally FREE. I think the MOS team and anyone coding "for us" deserves to have at least a beer as reward for his good work.

IMO most of the community will join to a similar opinion.

BTW How much will be efika?

Ok, now I doesn't understand much at all...

We have heard from them MorphOS-team that MorphOS won't run on EFIKA, which I think is a little bit sad but that is not the point.

Now somebody has the EFIKA and MorphOS 1.5 on a Amiga show. Who brought the hardware and software to the show if the software it is not possible to buy the software and the hardware in a bundle?

Have a look here. I don't know where you read that it didn't run on efika, but their statement seems fairly clear to me.

There was a misunderstanding. It was said that there are currently no plans to release an end user version. It was never denied that MorphOS might run on EFIKA in one form or another.

And despite this public demonstration, there has been no announcement as of yet which would contradict the original statement. Time will tell.

    @Jobbo and Golem

I stand corrected, I missunderstood. But still who is showing the software? I would love to hear that it is the MorphOS-team just looking for reactions.

Now that Freescale is a Reseller, the MorphOS-Team can set the price. This will hopefully lead to a more useful co-existence. We will see what happens after that.

Seems fast enough, of course... It seems to take a little longer to boot than my Peg1G3, but thats just fine... I like it.

No surprise it takes a little longer to boot than a real machine.
You can read on Moobunny the IDE interface of the Efika is roughly *10* times slower.
