BBRV is a fine guy and is very intelligent, so he will send to MOS TEAM all afficial documents to secure them selling a MOS 1.5 Update.
BBRV will Helpthe MOS TEAM to put MOS 1.5 Update on sale by a good distribution way.

BBRV like a lot Morphos, because Morphos is the offical system of pegasos ! isn't it?
BBRV will do a generous donation to MOS TEAM to congratulate them doing the hard a good work they did.
Like all of us, I'm ready to do a donation to help this guys, why not BBRV ?

    I'm just Brainstorming... ;-)

    EDITED AFTER takemehomegrandma post.
THIS WAS JUST A SARCASTIC AND CINIC POST.

Dont know what BBRV want to do, and it is no more important for me.

In the context of that (I know that this site is a MorphOS site, that's why I put this in the forum):

"Putting the finishing touches on the hard work of several months, the Gentoo/PPC team led by Pieter van den Abeele, and PegasosPPC manufacturer and Gentoo sponsor Genesi have announced official Gentoo/PPC support of Genesi's Open Desktop Workstation family of hardware products. Moreover, Genesi will start selling systems with Gentoo Linux on them, and donate a portion of the profits to the Gentoo Foundation, as soon as the few remaining technical questions are solved this week.

The Gentoo Foundation is very happy about this step towards an even closer partnership with Genesi, and proud of the Gentoo/PPC developers' team effort to support the ODW platform! In-depth coverage of the agreement, the sales, and more information will be published in the next issue of the Gentoo Weekly Newsletter".

This is actually *at the top* of *the front page* of *gento.org* (not hidden somewhere in the website hierarchy, at some odd "we also support PPC" page)!!!

    http://www.gentoo.org/

Wow! Looks like some OS developers thinks different than others! I am glad to see this, because Gentoo is my favourite OS next to MorphOS! Viva la Peg! ;-)

    :-D

Had a lot to do with attempting to negotiate a way forward. Now that this is 'public' it really is over...well, this is as close as an official public statement that it's over that we'll see IMO.

There is a very interesting log for you here:

    http://dcs.suomiscene.org/temp/18_01_05_when_morphos_finally_died.log

Spend some time to read it all, every line!

Sounds to me like Laire wants MUI for embeded market and he no longer has an interest in MOS as a desktop OS. I guess thats it then???

    Thank you very much takemehomegrandma
This is the end of story for me. :-x

I'll go away to another computer land.
SAD SAD SAD, lot of joice, projects and money spend just to create the Pegasos II without Morphos Desktop version.
My goal was always Morphos and never the hardware.

I decided to keep my pegasos like an Amiga historic point on time. It will continu to run on my desk on the right side of an micro Aone.

I guess my problem is that according to Laire, these problems
started in 2003, before 1.4 was released. Looking back I can
see why most wanted to do their own things... at the time
Thendic was having huge problems. Too bad they were not able
to persuade the Development core that the "check is in the mail"
I don't blame them for being resistant...

Now things can move forward. either current Mos Devs can continue
to develop or not. without Genesi involved things will still
progress despite the situation, or not.

Personally... I bought my Peg II for Morphos. I won't waste my time
running linux on the peg. It only makes sense if I want to use
it for development. As long as their is still some progress within
the Morphos Community, I will be here. When all development stops....
