msata+msata to 2,5 IDE on Powerbook G4

    Hi!

    Im trying to instal a 32gb msata disk with a msata to ide adaptor, Morphos dont recognize the disk, anyone have another of this msata disks on a Powerbook G4?... I need to prepare msata for first use?

    Do you know if the Power Book recognizes this drive?
    Because this is the problem in macs when you change the hard diks.

    OSX Leopard install disk boot but installation dont start, a grey prohibition signal image appears.

    Uff, I think that you have the problem the mac controller drives doesn't work.

    Die Problem is probably related to Master/Slave. Usually thats done by Firmware of 2.5" drives as there are no jumpers.

    If I recall right, we had the same issue on a geit@home meeting and the solution was to put the SSD to the CDROM port.

    Probably polluks knows as it was his powerbook.

    And just to be clear. There is not special init required when it fails, something is not compatible.
