    @Jim

Just pointing out that an issue with HD6570's has been there since 2 years ago.
My only compatible card now then would be a HD6450 as my 6670's died .

...and it is the card he's just recommended in the MorphOS 3.10 news article thread, as well as the HD6450.

    Hi all

    Now bought a RadeonR5 230 this morning.

    * R5 230 works with Sam460 + MOS 3.10 CD via VGA output..Only available mode is 1920x1080

    * HDMI output gives a corrupted view..

    * Both VGA and HDMI output of Radeon R5 230 works with AmigaOS4

Currently installing MOS3.1 on Sam460..Harddisk is conntected to PCI-E Sii3132 SATA card..

I don't think that you can boot a Sam460 from the PCI-E Sii3132 SATA card.

Yes I connected harddisk to sii3114 afterwards.

Btw DVI - HDMI is also working with R5 230.

I tried Tower57 but it crashes other things work fine.

Yes, while the game content itself is software-rendered, it uses TinyGL to scale the game's rather small resolution to the resolution of the currently used screenmode. TinyGL only supports Radeon R200 to R500 GPUs, i.e. Radeon 8500 to X1950 cards.

Also let me add that if your booting is stuck at the firmware screen as was reported earlier in this thread, then please try to wait 60 seconds and see if it continues booting. I've been informed that a bug managed to sneak into the final 3.10 release which might cause such a delay on booting for some people.

    Hi Bigfoot

I waited like 240 seconds with RadenHD 6570, but it doesn't boot..

    Back to R5 230 :)

Again, has anyone tried a higher end 6000 series card?
Mark has his 6870 working, and I'm fond of the 6750 (it's still low cost and performs MUCH better than the 6570).

Also, any word on how the 4000s look with overlay support?

I'm bidding on an HD4890 and an HD6870 right now.

For those of you with HDMI/DVI trouble, please give https://bigfoot.morphos-team.net/test/Radeon (md5sum: c454a3be7c82faf62451d4ddbc4d8862) a try.

Download the file and copy it to mossys:Devs/Monitors - make sure it overwrites the original Radeon file, as having two different Radeon monitor files present won't work. Also double check that the file has the executable file protection bit set after downloading/copying, and finally make sure you have installation media ready in case it doesn't work right.

EDIT: HD6570 DVI still has the problem.

    HD6570 HDMI works.

Unfortunately I still have the issue with the Sam460ex onboard ethernet not connecting.

What's the connector configuration on that card of yours? Specifically does it have a dedicated VGA connector, or does it have a DVI-I port, with both digital and analogue signals?

You'll have to be a bit more specific on that one. Crashes how?

The Card has a dual link DVI-I connector and a HDMI connector .
Edit: seems that the DVI-I is recognized as Single link under AmigaOS 4.1

GfxSpeed runs and at some point while it is running the screen goes blank and I cant get any display.

Onboard ethernet only works for me when I use DHCP. It doesn't work with a static IP.
With Os4 I can use a static IP, so I know it's not a wrong setting on my system.
I forgot to report this bug when I installed morphos 3.9.

GfxSpeed has an issue around Benchmark 13/260 on My Sam460ex.
Screen just goes blank. Both Radeon HD6450 and Radeon HD6570.
X5000 passes 13/260 with no problem.

Also still have the network issue with the Sam460ex onboard network.
Verified that it is not a general network problem as my X5000/020 with pciex1 RTL 8168 connects ok on the same network.
My Sam460ex is one from probably the last batch produced.

Interesting, the biggest impact is on the HD6450.
I never would have predicted the SAM460 as the winner in this contest.

If you can, could you give us comparative benches under MorphOS 3.10?

Edit - Sorry, that was a pretty stupid suggestion. We don't have a 3D driver for the first card, and there is no MorphOS drivers for the second (yet).
The comparisons under OS4 still remain interesting. Shows the impact DMA has.
