    Please write a better subject.

    I think that yes, but I'm not sure at all. If you want 3D at this moment, get voodoo 3 or Voodoo 4 4500...

    Couldn't use your link... but I am pretty Sure UltraSpec (where I got
    My PegII) Uses ATI 9200, as the Graphics card of Choice. Check out
    their website... or buy a card/system from them.

    I fixed the link and subject (sorry - I was tired when I posted that). :-)

    @ magnetic - thanks! The Sapphire Radeon 9200/256 is on sale for $69.99 too. I am placing an order for it right now. :-) All I need now is a case and a new G4 Pegasos II motherboard, and I am ready to dive into this platform. hehehe

    When choosing an AGP graphic card first check it's Universal AGP v2.0
    or AGP 3.3V compliant.

    Everything is explained in the Pegasos II maunal. Look there too:

    @Miky060:

    Why don't you know??
    I put my ATI Radeon 9800SE@PRO All-In-Wonder into my Pegasos (with 150W PSU) and it ran well enough to play with the firmware! :-D

    I checked the specs - that card is fine, so it should work without any problems.

    James that card will work just fine like I told you. Just make sure it is NOT and 9200SE. They are crap and you will not like it al all. I am using a 9200 in my Pegasos and I also have a 7000. The 9200 has a better picture, but I hear the 7000 will support 3D if they ever decide to release 1.5 to us. I havent tried any other ATI card, but I would say the 9200 will be perfect for you. Not many things are out for 3D for me to put in an old Voodoo card.

    Hey Paul!

    Good to hear from you! :-D Hope you are doing well...

    I was going to get the ATI 9200 card, but I am going to get this one from Sapphire because it has 256 MB RAM and is cheaper. :-) Since I really don't have much need for 3D with MorphOS, I am getting this one. When the support is there for better cards, then I will upgrade, but this card should suffice for a while.

    All I have to do is decide from three cases that I am looking at, and then I just need to get a new G4 Pegasos II motherboard, but I don't know when I will be able to do that.

    as HammerD told you the guy in the photo was me some years ago, so i can say: I'm sorry my face irritates you so much, but i will not change it ;-)

    It remembers me of a nice period of my life, and even if I cut completely my hair some time ago, I still love the "SuperSayian" look I had in that period... :-D

    @Magnetic,
    I knew MorphOS has no drivers for 9500/9700, but I'm amazed that also Linux has no drivers for it..

    From what I have been reading on the Linux sites (I've been reading
    about Linux alot lately), ATI doesn't really care about anyone outside
    of the Windows community.

    Well... Then Genesi should approach NVidia instead if ATI is not going get with the program in making native drivers for the Pegasos platform (MorphOS and Linux).

    That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it... :-)

    Noone from the big companies is gonna write driver for MorphOS, thats something Frank has to do himself (maybe he has help, I don't know).

    NVidia is COMPLETLY close-up on the HW, so you can completly forget writing drivers that support anything more than basic 2D.

    ATI on the other side did at one time annouce a partnership with Genesi which should give Frank access to all he needs to write complete driver. Well except time and motivation offcourse ;-)

    That will be nice to see, once there are drivers for their full line of products. :-D

    Does this card work with the Pegasos II?

    Sapphire Radeon 9200

    Thanks!

    I have a PowerColor Radeon 9200SE 128MB AGP8X and it works correctly.

    The only problem I had is that I had bought a DVI->VGA adaptor, as the VGA connector is "removed" when the card is put in a half-height case (Mine is a Antec Minuet) just to find out the DVI connector only works in the OpenFirmware.

    And don't tell me to put the DVI_ENABLE=YES tooltype in the Radeon driver, it just won't work. I already mentioned this to the MOS Radeon driver coder ... I guess there *could* be a fix in MOS 1.5.

    BTW, this problem only happens with PowerColor (and maybe another one) ATI cards.

    Anyone else with this issue?

    So, in the meantime, I use the VGA flat-cable that came with it.

    The DVI connector does work, but not with a VGA dongle. Before I got my DVI-enabled flat screen I had to have the VGA connector dangling loose in the slot next to the graphics card. It looked extremely professional and reliable. (My card is a Club3D 9200SE)

    @antime

    Why is it working in the OpenFirmWare then?!

    What's so special about this DVI output? I mean, even the dongle is a kind of internal adaptor which (seems to) connect to the DVI outputs pins.

    Anyone with a working DVI->VGA output adaptor?
