    Hi!

    So, I've got this one:

    http://www.tp-link.com/en/products/prodetail.aspx?mid=0103030802&id=187

on which I've connected my printer and a hard disk. All my PCs can access it (via the windows program that came with the device). My question is, since this device has an IP and my pegasos is on that router too and able to mount said hard disk if connected directly with usb, is there any chance I could somehow access it (the hd, I don't care about the printer) via ethernet like my PCs do?

No good choice for MorphOS. This device only supports some kind of "virtual USB". That is why you need the Windows driver software to access the drives. I don't think Poseidon can do anything similar. Instead, you should easily be able to print via the supported LPR protocol and SYS:Contributions/NetPrinter. So for sharing data with your Peg you better buy a device that at least supports one of the protocols FTP, SMB. Reading the specs before buying is mandatory if you do not use exclusively Windows to access a box. If you cannot return the box you may find a free alternative firmware of any other project that supports your box and offers these protocols. For some devices they do exist.

Thanks for your reply! Tbh I didn't buy it expecting morphos or amigaos to use it, I mainly got it to share my media hd between my main pc and my home theater pc. I just thought I might get a free bonus if I could somehow access it via morphos or amigaos! But if I can't, oh well! :)

You could use the PC as a gateway, i.e. [virtually] connect the harddrive to the PC, create a network share for it and access it from MorphOS with SMBFS or SMB-Connect.

Note that SMB only works reliable with WinXP but not with Vista or 7.
