Correct. I didn't claim it would.

There's no reason a non-bootable SCSI driver couldn't be created to give Powermacs running MorphOS the same capability that Powermacs running Linux have.

    ???

There is a problem at the moment to use SYMBIOS SCSI in PowerMac in MorphOS2.6, and if resolved, We could use it in next relase of MorphOS; I don't see the problem

To ease that frustration you can just pull the card out and pretend it doesn't work in Linux either ;-)

Thanks Andreas. I needed something to laugh at today. I take some things far too seriously.
Besides, I haven't booted into Ubuntu in days.
Why bother? So far I'm idiotically pleased with MOS 2.6. Its faster than any other OS I've run on this hardware.

    @Jim

The driver in it's current state does not work on PowerMacs (my apologies for any previous statement I've made that may have indicated otherwise :)). I see no good reason to have delayed the release of 2.6 for a minor problem like this (I think the driver is being used by relatively few Pegasos users as is).

Don't sweat it. I wasn't 100% convinced it would work at all (frankly being able to access the drive I had hooked to it under Ubuntu threw me).
And were a driver every created to use it (which does seem a secondary concern compared to getting SATA support) I'd probably just go out a do something foolish like buy a high speed, high capacity SCSI drive (and eat up some big $)
Further, you released 2.6 right when both of my X86 PCs failed (within a week of each other) and everything that you guys promised would work has (even the Soundblaster drivers). I had this Powermac I'm typing on set up months ago and 2.6 is working flawlessly on it.

    Thanks.

Is there already a way to connect extra drives in a powermac ? ATA or SATA PCI ? I could use a bigger drive with all those nice console emulators and I also want make ISOs of my complete AmigaCD collection ... and I have +/- 240 discs.

Regarding PATA I don't know. For SATA read this very thread ;-)

At the moment not supported (in MorphOS2.6) the SATA PCI card.

About PATA, If you have a PowerMac FW800 or MDD you can use 2 units in mode 100, 2 units in mode 66 and two units in 33 mode.
I prefear to use only mode 100.
It's OK HD PATA of 500gb, tested.

If you have an other model you can use two units in mode 66 and two units in 33 mode.
There is a "limit" of 128Gb, but you can solve it usign Linux partition (a good idea so you could also use YABOOT for exemple if useful for you) or using some utilities (not Apple) in OSX.

I have a Quiksilver 2002 with all connectors on the motherboard used. Does icefilesystem support bigger partitions ?

"64bit file/partition/extent sizes (actually very close to 2^63 bytes)."

Quicksilver 2002 has 48 bit LBA, so no 128 GiB restriction there.
