    Hey guys,

I'm beginning to round up some parts for the
upcomming Pegasos 2, and thought I'd ask
    a few general questions.

Is the Radeon 9100 a good card to use for the
Pegasos? It seems to be the best card listed
as being supported, but what are your thoughts?
I'm assuming the compatibility of gfx cards
will be (for now) the same as Pegasos 1?

If I buy a G3 now, I gather there is always the
option of a G4 upgrade card later, ala Pegasos 1?

Thanks in advance for any responses! :)

I use 9100 on my Peg1.. it's a pretty decent card and didn't cost much either.

Just a thought by the way.. if Genesi wants to sell Pegasos 3 as even a semi-mainstream computer, drivers for nVidia cards are essential.
What needs to be done for achieving this.. purchase rights or something?

I suggest you to NOT buy a Radeon 8500/9100 because it's the only model that has no overlay support under MorphOS.

PegasosII "Elite" Machine --> PowerMac MDD "popular" Machine --> MacMini 1.5 "still more popular" Machine

I'd be surprised if that is not implemented for MOS1.5 (or whatever comes with Peg2).

If it is possible, try to get your Pegasos 2 with the G4. From what I
understand, the production of G4 cards will be limited as Genesi is
    concentrating on the Pegasos 3/G5.

...although, that leaves 1 less G4 for me...maybe it is a decision
that shouldn't be rushed into... ;)

Right on, thanks everyone for your answers.
    It's looking like a G4, although a G3 for now
and a Pegasos 3 later is still an appealing
    thought..;)

Had a rather long telephone call with Mr Does (for some reason these allways
get longer than planned ;-) ). I said "put me on the list", he said "your on", thats
all I need for the moment....
