Is there a way to create a bootable USB for a PowerMac G5 from the iso file?

No I had not, I picked some cdrs and got a boot cd made

I succesfully ran the installer but Morph won't boot and the Boot partition can be seen but apparantly does not have the blessing needed for it to boot.

I'm using a PowerMac G5 7,2.

Actually, the SD card/USB hybrid image should be bootable directly on a G5 if you change the boot-device to UD: instead of HD: in OF and you have written the RAW image to a USBstick directly...
I wished Apple's USB boot device support had been a bit more straight forward back then but they decided to focus on Firewire for marketing reasons, it seems.
Either way, I use this kind of boot method on all my Apple-type machines as a type of emergency boot option, so it definitely works. Of course it can also be used to update/install the latest MorphOS version.
If it doesn't work/boot, it is most likely the type of USB device that is refused by OpenFirmware and/or the image that is not correctly written to the USB media.

This chap has been in touch with me directly and the issue he is actually having is that MorphOS is installed but is not booting for some reason.

He has a Boot partition and it has the right files (name wise) in it but it won’t boot.

He actually reached out on Facebook to me as I have a G5 working but I’ve checked the basics with him and cannot really help anymore.

The image is the 3.17 version downloaded directly from the website.

I finally got things working.

The final fix.... swapping positions of the two hard drives.

And NOT naming my Mac partition "System">

I now have a triple boot of Leopard, Tiger, on one drive and MorphOS on the other.

Well, "SYS" is reserved but "System" should not make any difference.
