    hi guys,

Me again, Home office so i use my transport time to use my X5000 every day not only the week-end.
the HDD led is always on, no blink when the HDD is in use.

An idea to solve the issue ?

I use black adhesive tape on it but it is not really a solution :)

I run multiple systems 24/7 and some of them have really annoying blue leds. I typically disconnect the led cable from the motherboard connector.

It sounds like you have the plus minus leads reversed. Simple fix!

Who built your machine? They may simply have plugged the hdd light into the wrong motherboard header. Or backwards, as suggested.

Just be aware though - if you have anything weird there, like a bridge (SATA-IDE, etc) sometimes it won't send the correct signals to the mainboard for hdd access. Some of them have an extra LED header so you can move it to there.

Also there seem to be some SSDs on the market that don't return the proper disk access logic either.

I have just checked the polarity of the HDD Led, all is Ok regarding the motherboard manual. the + is plug on the pin with the arrow so the anode.

I have a SSD as you explain, it is maybe the issue wrong information send to the motherboard.

Relec build the machine so it is well done :)
