Has been demoed some years ago (even got it installed on mine ;) ) but AFAIK it was never developed to full useabilty.

We are talking bout the iSight iMac that shares a lot of HW with the PCIe PowerMac_G5.

What is holding it back? I read of some components that are tricky. Do you know which ones and why? The iMac would be almost as fast as a PowerMac G5 but not that fat and noisy.

Lack of motivation/resources ?

Other priorities ?

Dunno, but I sure know that the version I have(years old) isn't anything I would want to use day in day out.

Is it unstable or slow or are drivers missing?

I had also one of These models. Its an powermac8.2. could it be in The Near future possible that Morphos works on this Mac?

Does it really make sense to put more work to this line?
There are many different range of supported computers. Everybody could find a supported model for his/her budget.

I think the change to current HW is more reasonable, than support the n'th model from the same class.
But, I also don't know too much, what the guys are doing nowadays.

Yes, this is also my mind. I like the clean desk and power on screen. Maybe the developer are with us. I have a lot old amiga games and want play with my children. Or could anybody a similar hardware recommend that works?

You can use any decade-old x86 hardware with JIT-enabled UAE.

Anything obvious (missing or broken functionality, non-supported components, stability issues etc.) that would explain why the public MorphOS 3.12 release runs on it only inofficially?
