Hi!
I have a strange screenmode bug, becouse the low-res 320x240 by default on my system prefs/monitors don?t work well and is very distorted and contorted image when my SDL launch this resolution. I edit with the monitor options but not work well, becouse i need to change all lengths manually, pulses etc (all). I use a standar LCD monitor 60hz.
The 640x480 and above don?t have any problem, the problem is with lower resolution (320x240)

btw: for SDL you should use 24/32bit! Some SDL-progs won' t work propper with 16bit.....

DDC doesn't show it, stupid!

i am testing it but no luck here, with you setting i view low-res but i need to edit all too becouse is distorted, i use a LG LCD/60hz + Radeon 9200 Pro

You should try one of the monitor presettings like 64khz-monitor (or similar). If it runs you may change values for H/V-frequencies and bandwith (MHz) proper to your monitors values.......that is the normal way keep a monitor running with AOS or MOS.......

I've seen there is a small problem with image hosting.....if an error occours follow the link in the error massage......

Horizontal frequency is normaly given in kHz and vertical frequency in Hz...maybe this is a mistake in your description.....
As I can see your monitor should feature horizontal 30-83kHz, vertical 56-75Hz , so 64Khz (as shown in your pic) is a good choice to start.....
