EasyRPG Player is a program that allows to play games created with RPG Maker 2000 and 2003.

You can get the MorphOS version from my website (or here's a direct link).

For MIDI playback you can get the some MIDI patches from here, and dump them next to the executable.
Info on the compatibility, project status, progress, etc. on the official site on the project:

Likewise, I have tried a few games and it works really well overall. A few glitches when you use the F4-F5 keys to re-size/window the GUI, (the graphics go really dark, then either straight away when you press the key the next time or the one after that it clears back to how it should look/be set, but overall it seems to be another of your success stories, so thanks BSzili 8-D

Drats, I didn't even know you can do that. I'll try it when I manage to hook up my Mac Mini the next time.

A new stable version of the EasyRPG Player was released recently, so I built new executables. To see what's new, check out the official blog of the project:

As usual everything is available for on my site.

I updated the MorphOS version of EasyRPG player to the recently released 0.6.0. It brings a lot of battle system improvements and bugfixes. You can read about it here:

As usual you can grab it from the links in the first post.

In what resolution does easyrpg works? Upon launching the player (and selecting a game) my screen looks like it's offset (left and upper side is black and bottom / right of the game isn't visible at all. My native public resolution is 1280x1024 (although I have created a couple more for some other programs)...

Thanks both, it works under window mode (f4) but sadly I had always problem configuring my screen to go lower than 640x480. Easyrpg seems to run in lower native resolution (something like 320x240?) and once in window mode games appear tiny. Anyhow I will keep messing around with my system. Port looks working great though :)

This is incorrect. EasyRPG player supports two resolutions in fullscreen: 320x240 and 640x480. If your screen can't do either of these, you are stuck in windowed mode.

It's now built with SDL2, make sure to get the latest version from MorphOS Storage:

Many thanks to BeWorld for building the executable.

Your constant work on getting ports to work on MorphOS is amazing! Thanks for all of your time and effort to bring so many different ports to MorphOS. Without developers like you, MorphOS would have much less fun software to run.

Thanks, but I'm doing more moral support than actual porting these days. I try to help out with SDL2 as much as I can.
