I love to play Quake II Online with my
friends

But the fun is short, so i looked for
"Servers" with ONLY Amiga Users but nu luck,
only PC-Dudes

So my question, is there here a lot of people
how are interested for a Amiga/Pegasos Server ???

Maybe ONLY a Pegasos QII Online server ?!?!

Can anyone point me to the Quake2 port i should be getting for MorphOS? if it works ok i might let my Peg run as a server (its only on a 1mbit line) but it could be usable) :).

and i will put my server on, maybe in the
future if we get alot of people who want to
play it, we can arange a standard time

The MorphOS QII exe wich exists, doesn't
support network, and is useless, it doesn't
support HW3D also.

Just use Hyperion's QII, runs very smooth.

So we don't have the same executable as the one I have as a Voodoo betatester is running Q2 with HW support at over 30 fps in 1280*1024.
I tested it with different servers tonight and got no problem to play on the network.
It is still a beta and as the coder is perfectionist you may need to wait a little more before it is released.

I have Quake2 for MOS I would love to try to play with you guys. I have never played a net game before so please tell me what I have to do. I have an ADSL connection so bandwidth is np. I am also in the USA so what times can we play?

That's a good start
Well... first of all enable in the settings of QII GUI "Allow Download", then start QII and
choose "Multiplayer" then select "join network server" and type in "address book" my server name (A215015.upc-a.chello.nl), go back and you see if
i are connected in the list,click it and......
KICK SOME ASS !!!!

Well.... I'm from Europe (Holland) so the time
is veeeerrrry diffrent
But... i always turn my server on when i am home
from work in the evening (18.00PM or AM?!?!)

Magnetic was not available.
There are very few MorphOS users in the USA so nobody could play with me.

So I played with some non MorphOS people.

I could not connect to your server, maybe you could give us the IP. I guess the ping time will be not very good for me.

I will be busy today, I don't know yet when we can organize another game.

Hee, it's about time we had an arena for Amiga and MOS fanatics to beat each other up in- we should have done this years ago, it would have saved all the grief on Amiga.org and ANN lol.
