    @magnetic

I bought him a pizza from Canada....it can be done.

Speaking of pizza, have you ever tried the sweet chili chicken from Pizza Pizza in Canada? It is totally amazing. Seriously.

ONE good reason to visit Canada.. Tim Horton's is the 2nd :) (I think there are some Tim Horton's in USA, though, in border states.

Why dont we all just send a paypal fund to him and he can order his own pizzas with the money? I mean $10 a piece here will be at least $50 in pizza money. So thats like 4+ pizzas!

Uhm, this is getting out of control. :-) I guess it was mostly meant as a funny thing, now with all this small Paypal transfers we're going to make Paypal happy with commissions, aren't we?
Ah, and obviously 3 pizzas all together are not a nice gesture. And a rule of the game seems to be no more than one pizza per each user/donor.

Anyway, as baisaz pointed out, theres's really no need to complicate life when things are easy. Here's a step-by-step guide:

    1) connect to the #morphos IRC channel at Freenode. Or do you already know the address the pizza should be delivered to? Preferred time is lunch and dinner time in Denmark (CET, GMT+1), maybe a bit earlier for the obvious accomodations
1b) Say hello to everybody in the channel: if you're not a regular we hope to see you there again in the future.

    2) contact user bigfoot privately (using a Query). Ask him if he already had his fix of pizza for today, or he'd like a small present. If that's the case

    3) conect to http://www.just-eat.dk/ . Ok, the site has serious problems. Or it was just the webmaster that in a moment of creativity decided to compose a site by pressing keys casually. Or probably you fu**ed up your fonts, who knows? Either way, amittedly you can't do much

    4) apparently this bigfoot is a geek and is able to decode messages on that site. So, since you still have that query thingie open in your IRC client, you ask him to guide you click by click

    5) about 10 minutes later, you'll have to pay. Seems there are problems with Master Card from outside Denmark, but no problems with VISAs. Keep in mind that it might reject a Visa Electron, but if you use a decent browser you can go back one step andjust spoof your card as a regular VISA and be done. In the latter case depending on your religion you might need to contact your favourite priest and tell him you lied. Nobody wants to see you go to hell for a game port on MorphOS.

Overall, the complete process shouldn't take you more than 15 minutes and 13 Euros all fees included. And as HammerD testifies, it can be done. I mean, also from Canada! ;-)

    Kind regards,
    Andrea

I know that the method of supporting bigfoot's programming, or porting efforts was partially meant to be amusing and partially to get free food and allow more time to work on such programming/porting, but the complications make it too difficult for some people that would like to support him, but will end up not doing so because it is too much trouble.

I would still like to find someone that would volunteer to help get the pizza's to bigfoot's front door. I have a Paypal account in good standing, but no longer use any form of credit (cards or otherwise).

Nice post, funny too. Well $13 euro is almost $20 us! So i buy the game $10 on a deal + $20 for the pizza! $30!??

This is why for us users paypal donation is much better for a pizza fund he can use to order whenever he wants.

Guys, this thread is great! Pople supporting a single programmer, fighting the hurdles of a different language, crap web site, credit card rejections... Amazing stuff!

Let's hope the game itself is going to be more fun than this very thread? :-D

you guys think short-term, who's gonna keep on coding and porting wonders if we kill all the few remaining amiga coders by some junkfood cholesterol overdose ?

what about a vegetable diet for the coders, the more hungry they will get, the more they will rage-code.
    send donations to vegetamigans(at)paypal.com

Did Bigfoot ever end up getting his third pizza? I keep trying to catch him on IRC, but to no avail.

Bigfoot just told me that he has received all 3 pizzas, but his server is acting screwy so he won't have it back up till later in the week...

I've been running the pre-release on my eMac and have to say that over all it runs quite well!!!

There are a few minor bugs, for example when I let go of the key for RUNNING, the character still runs half the time till I hit ESCAPE then resume the game. Other than that, there was not a whole lot of issues that really impacted the game play.

There is a bit of bogging loading at the very beginning of the game, and the intro movie does not play all the way through correctly, but over all it seems like it is 99% finished. In fact I'm shocked that it has not been released already. This game is awesome and a great addition to MorphOS!

I'd gladly host it on my web site, but BigFoot requested that I did not do so until he had his final release ready and fully documented.

Ya, it runs pretty damn good aside of the few bugs I mentioned above. Well that and the fact that I have to manually switch to the game's screen after it load on my eMac. ;)

So ya, it's ready to go all except for the docs.

I know he was having issues with his server too, and I've no idea if he ever resolved those. That's why I had asked him if I could post it on my web site .

All ready to go except for docs and bugs, ok. So you also have the multiplayer version?

The installer requires a fairly permanent reliable server for hosting the update files too.
