Some old games .....

Hi there I'm currently asking myself wether I should continue to
subscribe the AmigaFuture (german magazin), and now I have
to decide what I should order as price-reduced extra with the subscripton.

    Options are:
    Pinball Brain Damage
    Kargon
    SeaSide
    Simon-The Sourcerer 2
    Flyin High
    Earth 2140
    Dynamite Special E. CD

    I haven't played any new Amiga-game between 1994 and 2002, so
    I'm a bit at a loss here .....

Which games are what ? And how good/bad are they ?
Do they work on the Pegasos ? Anybody who can give me a 1st-hand
report on that 68k-AHI-version of Earth2140 that was talked about some
    days ago ?

    @ Kronos,

You can get some information of the games on http://hol.abime.net/ (but only technical ones and screenshots).

    Simon - The Sorcerer II:
is an adventure in the style of Monkey Island meaning you guide your hero (Simon) through several quests. A lot of humor included.
Works on Pegasos here but crashes when leaving.

    Dynamite Special E. CD:
I only have the standard DynAMIte here which is an improved version of bomberman (including network play).
    Works on Pegasos here.

afaik, there is NO ahi version of Earth 2140 I know of...

And it seems that coders (!=publishers) aren't too willing to help getting it work on MOS. Of course, it's MorphOS, that should be blamed for it doesn't work...

    Hi Kronos,

There is an unofficial AHI Patch for Earth 2140 available directly from me. It runs fine with a few smaller problems (no sound in the movies, flickering in the menu). It is only the 68k version that Pagan did; I think they had the UAE users in mind mainly and it is fortunate that it now runs on the Pegasos as well. Regarding speed: Honestly, when you have played the game mainly on a G4/500 Mac for some time, going back to the Amiga version does not seem fair anmore ;-) Since my last A1200 broke down a couple of months ago I can not compare it to normal Amiga speed, but someone told me it was slightly faster on the Pegasos now than the PPC version was on his old amiga.

    Best Regards

Thanks for the tip, have to try it.
To be honest, I never thought of the possiblity to try ScummVM as Simon does work on MOS (except for the crash when leaving).

The 680x0 version of Earth 2140 is much faster on Pegasos G3 than the WOS version on Amiga 1200 PPC 266 MHz.

I'd be very interested in that, if you could mail it to me, my e-mail address should be publicly visible.

Or better still, why don't put it somewhere online for people to download?

    Hi jack,

Are you Mahendra Tallur? This is the only mail I received where I could not send the Update to, because the mail kept bouncing back (3 times so far).
