    I've tested it. It's poor port, not based on SDL library(!), still some problems with sound and speed (like in the other uae compilations that are avaiable on morphos...).

    I think that this needs a cgx port for be useful

    SDL version is pretty fast. I doubt using CGX would make it any faster...

    @itix

    Sure? I dont think that about being fast the SDL version. Even if runs ok, I think that a cgx port will can be a lot faster and user less resouces that can be used in other useful things...

    I consider SDL a good portable API for simpler things, no things as emulators of 16bit or more machines by example.

    For test purposes, I've compiled e-uae in both native and sdl targets. sdl target sounds better and supports p96. Regarding speed there is not much difference, as the time spent in blit is negligible compared to the rest of the emulation. This could make a bigger difference when big resolutions are used.

    In the native port i have enabled direct stream support (a simple define to enable), which reduces a lot the sound stutter, but there's still an little issue with it. So, at the moment, sdl port is better IMO.

    However, the problem is that e-uae is much slower than the old 0.8.6 uae. On a Peg2 G4, it can be almost twice as slow. It's still enough to play most games with sound though.

    Its possible use trance.library for E-UAE? And using the non-JIT 68k emulation of MorphOS?

    Then make a better one ;) I can send you the diffs if you want.

    To be honest this is not realy a port but recompilation, it was done only because I had some problems with sleep and only E-UAE sources on my HD. Also I was curious is my GCC will be able to compile some files with -O3 flag because I have some problems with that in the past.

    I was simple curious how much better this version is. Personaly I do not use UAE or playany games because lack of free time.

    Thank you so much for the work you do. I know its so you can play the games yourself though :lol:

    Seriously, thats what makes this community so cool. Its like this:

    1. A guy has a computer

    2. That guy wants to run something on that machine that isnt available

    3. The guy decides to write it himself (or port)

    4. Guy now has program running on machine and is pleased. :-D

    5. and now alot of other guys are happy.
