20 years ago I played X2 on my PowerBook G4 nicely.

Wondering with the current porting effort going on whether that would be something maybe for @Papiosaur.
yes, it may require retrieving a licence for MorphOS. But maybe it's worth it's while.

@Manfred: thanks to think to me :-)

It could be a nice port, but i need source code to try to port it.

Yeah, that's where asking for a source code may be necessary at Ecosoft and retrieve a license, similar as folks have done for Siedler 2.
But that may be a stretch.

And who would pay for a license?

Well, many people spend a lot of money for many things in the retro world for either hardware and software.
For Siedler 2 someone pulled it off with the expectation that the sells will come up for the expenses of the license.
At the time there was also a port for PPC (of X2) on Mac OSX made by Virtual Programming.

Today there is also the option of croud funding.

One of the few times where coming in with "AmigaOS" might open doors compared to "MorphOS".
Also Settlers2 is kinda seen as a must have in the 68k (and OS4) community as far as I can tell.
