Heretic II odd behavior on Mac Mini MOS 3.17

Hi! I just installed Heretic II on my "silent upgrade" Mac Mini and have been troubleshooting to get it to run without issue. For starters, the videos do not display, though the audio plays. Then, the only 1280H resolution is 960V, and enabling hardware acceleration in this mode results in incessant flashing in the unused vertical resolution area of the screen. But enabling windowed mode is an issue because the window does not capture the mouse. If possible, I'd rather not have to rely on software acceleration or a lower resolution mode. Furthermore, I believe there's supposed to be background music, since there's an audio CD portion, but it's not playing. If anyone could help me rectify these issues, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Hyperion's H2 port uses cdda.library to play CDDA on old style analogue CD-ROMs. There is a MorphOS replacement for this library - check on Aminet.

The smacker codec built into the game is broken so I don't think you'll ever be able to get videos to play on MorphOS.

Heretic 2 doesn't allow you to define custom screenmodes. The best you can do, possibly, is make a screenmode of your own at 960V so that it fills the whole screen properly.

Time has not been kind on what was one of Hyperion's less broken ports...

Thanks for the tip about the replacement library. That's a true shame about the incompatibilities.
