    Hola,

    Gracias.

    Hello,

I am trying to install MacOSX 10.3 onto a Pegasos partition usign PegXMac, after booting from the CD the Installer warns me that it is unable to Install MacOSX onto my chosen partition because it is not within the first 8 Gb of the hard disk.

Any experience with this problem? Would it be possible to overcome this "limitation" ?

    Thanks in avance.

    saludos

    Hello,

Yes there is a solution !
You should use macfdisk to make a rdb on your partition so mac os X will see it as a new drive...

Use macfdisk ? to show you the command (you should add a disk with the beginning and end sector but I can't remenber which commands it is ...

But I am not sure the command macfdisk is in pegxmac...
Someone could try ? (I have debian installed here)

Good luck ! (sorry for my bad english)

I only can write this in Portugues Brasil or English so...

I Have a 20GB Seagate and my MOL (MACOS X) partition is a 6.5Gb /dev/hda5 and this partition begins after the 4Gb and a little before the 8Gb so i guess this Gb limitations before or after something is really not the problem, you can use the Disk tool in the OSX install CD1 and configure your partition, you probably will need to reboot MOL but works, to configure your partition call from the shell configmolrc.macosx and add the -force option in your /dev/hd"x""y" to make "OSX side" be able to do whatever they need in this partition.
