    Protracker - That sounds awesome!

I saw some screenshots of Digibooster pro, but is the morphOs-version ready?

Which trackers are currently avalible for MOS?

Seeing the screenshot, it doesn't look like it has separate
vol/pan/effects in each track such as digibooster pro.

Well you really think 8-bit FIR filter will give you perfect
resampling quality? What S/N ratio do you expect after interpolation?
    20 dB?

Seeing the screenshot, I expect nothing. But since we have nothing on MOS, any tracker would be highly appreciated (and judging from the Digibooster site + forum, it might be a while before they got that one ported :-( ). Besides, I always have found the replay inside the tracker of lesser importance; that's where we have modplayers for ;-)

A tracker without a good replay routine is practically dead. If the tracker's own routine is buggy and sounds terrible, what do you use as a reference when you code players for its format?

(I know this problem, i also s#?cked with FT2's replay bugs, when i coded my own player, which will be shortly available for MOS as well. Just after i finished my FPC port. :-D )

;-) Nah, I was more speaking in terms of replay-quality (see Krashan's reply -> in an external player you could always bump the interpolation if you'ld like); obviously the routine should be bugfree.

    I´m composing MODS since 1988.

I´ve done songs in Soundtracker, Noisetracker, Oktalyzer, Soundmonitor, Delta composer, TFMX, Protracker, Fasttracker (PC), Skaletracker (PC), Octamed, Future Composer, SonicArranger, Stonetracker, AHX, Art Of Noise Tracker..........

The best and most intuitive interface was, is and will be "Protracker 2.3d". All the old Amiga musicians knew this. Then.. why the hell the new trackers dont simply COPY the interface (adding some more features) and thats all !!!?!?!?!?!
Why they (the coders) try to make a new interface? It´s more easy try to copy it ! I cant understand!

Skaletracker from PC or the last Protracker (4.0 Y2K fix) also had good interfaces.

By the way, off topic, but if you want listen some of my old mods, go to

Though I started in the '90's making mods, and only used Protracker, Octamed, Fasttracker and Digibooster pro, I've made a few and I do agree that Protracker 2.3b had the most functional interface. Then again, I rather used PT 3.15 - 4.0, because it combined funtionality with a more user-friendly interface. Shame development stopped before they got the ps3m replayer to work.

The interface of DBpro was nice but a bit unhandy, the interface of octamed (ss)...well, what interface ( ;-) ) and the interface of FT2 was just silly (but it must have looked like heaven to the poor screamtracker users ;-). The screenshot of "ProtrackerII"...it makes me think of candy.

I switched from PT 2.3 to the 4.0b y2k fixed, and that's what I still use on my Amiga the few times when I do some tracking. I think it has a very good and easy interface. PT II looks more like old PT2.3, but I hope they at least tone down the colours a bit. It's nice with eyecandy in the beginning, but when you've sat a whole day staring at it, you wish for more moderate colours =)

Electro: Orion (Synapse Audio) could be possible... But I doubt this current user base is enough for any commercial product.
